Senior Auditor

Senior Audit Associate II

Individuals at this level has a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a senior audit associate I and normally has passed the CPA exam.  In this position you are expected to:

  • Supervise all aspects of the audit engagement including planning, creating, completing and reviewing workpapers, writing audited financial statements and attending client meetings as needed.

  • Help train and mentor junior staff;

  • Experience abundant growth and the chance for advancement

  • Know and understand the reasons behind the firm’s policies and procedures.

  • Possess technical knowledge sufficient to supervise staff accountants.

  • Continue to develop the skills necessary to cultivate and maintain quality client relationships and loyalty.

  • If assigned primarily to financial statement engagements:

  1. Continue to develop a command of GAAP, OCBOA, unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statement presentations.

  2. Obtain a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques.

  3. Assume responsibility for efficiently supervising both audit and non-audit engagements

 

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting – Required

• CPA license, passed the CPA exam or have requisite hours to sit for exam

• 5+ years of relevant experience in public accounting.

• Experience auditing not-for-profit and affordable housing entities preferred

• Excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and QuickBooks

• Strong accounting skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with project deadlines

• Ability to adjust schedule as needed to meet deadlines

• Authorized to work in the US

Starting compensation range depending on experience $93,000 to $110,000
