Senior Audit Associate II
Individuals at this level has a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a senior audit associate I and normally has passed the CPA exam. In this position you are expected to:
Supervise all aspects of the audit engagement including planning, creating, completing and reviewing workpapers, writing audited financial statements and attending client meetings as needed.
Help train and mentor junior staff;
Experience abundant growth and the chance for advancement
Know and understand the reasons behind the firm’s policies and procedures.
Possess technical knowledge sufficient to supervise staff accountants.
Continue to develop the skills necessary to cultivate and maintain quality client relationships and loyalty.
If assigned primarily to financial statement engagements:
Continue to develop a command of GAAP, OCBOA, unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statement presentations.
Obtain a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques.
Assume responsibility for efficiently supervising both audit and non-audit engagements
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting – Required
• CPA license, passed the CPA exam or have requisite hours to sit for exam
• 5+ years of relevant experience in public accounting.
• Experience auditing not-for-profit and affordable housing entities preferred
• Excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and QuickBooks
• Strong accounting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with project deadlines
• Ability to adjust schedule as needed to meet deadlines
• Authorized to work in the US
